Hopefully they'll do a Q&A again and we can get some answers and hopefully they wont be the generic email type reply. However I cant see them doing it while the performances are as bad as they currently are.
Hopefully just I don’t think it’s the players who are performing bad it’s just basically they are not good enough. They are league 2 quality most of our signings. That’s the issue
went to Birmingham & Hillsborough..... punished for POOR defending. 3 Barnsley players failing to clear ONE (1) ONE (1) ONE Birmingham player. Gave ball away & was only a matter of waiting for the goal. Same inept defending which put Wednesday in front after 3 mins at Hillsborough. Same today... Simply not good enough for this league. We MUST get in quality & experience... look at Lua Lua!! No point claiming positives from 2nd half as the job was already done then by Luton. £90 for 2 away tickets + travel. NO MORE. We have the wealthiest owners in the football league (apart from Man City prob Premier league too) & STILL selling best players at first offer..... SHOCKING. We will go down on this form. I know they said 'modest investment' but it isn't even that..... they said money in having sold best players would be reinvested... LIE. It hasn't, not even close. Send the Billionaires home if they're not willing to spend. If they're not then at least don't keep selling our best players. It's not rocket science. Stendel will go VERY soon to a more ambitious club. WE'RE GOING DOWN. Rich
I agree with you mate. It's clear some of these lads have potential to be top players, but theres also a fair few who are nowhere near championship standard. I'm all for bringing these players through and selling them for big money but we cannot bring them on at the expense of being relegated. All I want is to be competitive and other than the Fulham game and patches of the Charlton game I've seen very little to suggest we can be.
I agree with you and hope you are right. After the Fulham game a lot of people were very, very impressed on here so if all we'd seen so far were terrible performances I'd be feeling a bit more despondent than I am now. Still think we'll be ok, but it's football of course so you never really know.
Don’t worry about it they’ll all be excellent in the 2021/22 season & generate us a nice profit when sold
It’s irrelevant how well they do for their new clubs. They were good players for us & that’s all that matters.
That's it mate. I'm starting to see what's in it for them... failing to see what we get out of it though. Yo-yo from the championship to league 1, earning the owners millions off the back of these young players whilst the club never really grows or moves further ul the ladder. Exciting.
I dont think I am pal, I'm genuinely ****** off with it. It's so clear that this plan is excellent for the owners but the fans will get nothing out of it. I'm.asking a few nice fans for their opinions, itll be interesting to see their thoughts on how "the plan" worked for them.
I think a lot of our fans need a wake up call as well. The amount of people I’ve heard talking absolute nonsense when we lose players is scary. Apparently all of Potts, Davies, Lindsay & Moore aren’t that good anyway. I was listening to Reds Report & one of them’s saying that we don’t need Moore & that Woodrow’s better & they’re all agreeing & I’m thinking what the f*ck am I hearing? As if a poacher can lead the line on his own all season. With how many of our players ‘aren’t that good anyway’ it would seem that we only had 3 decent players last season, Pinnock, Mowatt & Woodrow. Must be a miracle we got promoted! What’s happening right now is down to the decision making in the boardroom just like it was in the last championship season. We’ve shot ourselves in the foot again & we’re going to end up losing Stendel just like we did Heckingbottom. Two excellent Barnsley managers but when results continue to suffer people will start blaming Stendel just like they did Heckingbottom when the blame lies elsewhere. It’s already starting. Is it too much to ask to just deviate from the plan slightly? A workhorse striker who can hold the ball up & be someone for the forwards & winners to play off? An experienced central midfielder to retain the ball & be a calming influence like Butterfield was today? An experienced centre back to help his partner & full backs? You can still have the rest of the squad as young players, no ones asking for a squad full of veterans with no re-sale value.
I got called Tuesday for saying that the players lacked effort in that game and it was the exact same today. Did not match Luton’s desire or willingness to scrap for every ball from the 1st minute You can go on about systems and tactics as well as ability but if the lads don’t match the opposition pound for pound with intensity then you may as well give up. Too many passengers today and again naivety at the back cost us Luton must have one of the lowest budgets in the league and that wasn’t evident today in terms of ability
Never heard as much **** in all my life although I did say about 5or6 weeks ago I was gobsmacked that most on here wanted to give stendle a 28 year contract some of today's performance as to be blamed on him n if it carries on like that he will be sacked by Xmas n he will be forgot about by Easter that's the way it is n always will be
Ah no worries pal, I thought you was sticking the boot in. Apologies for that. You too pal, all the best.
He can only work with what hes got mate and on the showings so far weve not got much. Hes clearly a fantastic coach, probably the best weve had. If hes sacked because of the boards poor recruitment then shame on them. I think 99% of the supporters know this mess is not down to him, I reckon he saw this coming before a ball was even kicked. Little things like putting Halme upfront, that to me was him saying that hes got no options up top. I feel sorry for him I really do, he deserves so much more.
