Web traffic data will drive that decision. A lot of companies are the same these days - invest more in interactive social media and just have a website for the basic stuff that’s needed. I think we’re all guilty of looking at BBS, Facebook, X and Sky Sports App for latest news, rather than the official BFC site. Same for most clubs.
You can complain about these roles all you want but ultimately Benson will earn more in a year than all those combined. We lose money every year because football players want paying more than the club makes from ticket sales. It’s the same all over the football pyramid.
I think a lot of that though is that the website is sometimes unreadable, with pop up adverts plaguing it (not our fault, all clubs are the same). Plus, we dont exactly keep it up to date with all the breaking news etc. It would be nice for us to use our own server/template or whatever the term is and make it our own.
A few years ago, I would have agreed. But I think it plays a smaller part these days. Regardless, I agree it needs to be up to date and relevant though.
Exactly. You can’t sit back in football and do nothing. You have to drive revenue - and that takes good staff and hard work. With Flatman and now Hayes back with the club, I think we have a very strong and experienced duo there. I’d go as far to say that Flatman is actually a bit of a coup for us - the guy is no-nonsense and factual and has had a lot of experience and success elsewhere.

I know you jest but if that nutjob went anywhere near our club it would be the end of me as an attending supporter.
