I have a flag the club can keep indefinitely. Think I am replying to a post from Paul and I was nodding last week when you were saying no one wants to have to come early and hang around to collect. My other issue is my flag has no fire certificate but a few thoughts on that:

It is from Hampshire flags who use state of the art materials and for the navy. Mine was the first or one of the first to be lasered imagery etc on inflammable material.

I rang and they said they couldn’t issue one if it’s ever got wet. Every one of our flags has got wet so the certs are not worth the bit of paper or material written on apparently….

It was up in the Ponty during Covid and previously taken round the country. I don’t take now because too much hassle and Peni Reds ceased.

at the start of the season flags were encouraged to go along back of Ponty. One of many things that never got took forward.

I wonder what it would cost to treat flags. To make em non flammable. And get that safety certificate. Think someone looked into it and said it would be cheaper to buy a new one. A lot of money is spent on some flags. not the print ones that the clubs sell. (wonder if they have fire certificates) ours wasn't cheap.
£500 in todays money. To replace the main one.
I'm trying to make contact with a bloke on the cost to get flags treated and certified fireproof.

Where's the big flag from the play offs, it's not been out for years, it's twice the size of the preedy one.

Who owns it as well. ? It was huge and probably a bit of a burden to carry.

It was kept at the club. Maybe whitey can go looking round the back of the bins for it

Yes, it was the one on the pitch at the play offs in Cardiff, must have handed it to the club after that. Probably Davey/Robins era last time it was out
