Excellent post DR - little attention is given to the machinations of the EU. Before the recent Euro elections the centre right (EPP) and centre left (S&D) had a majority and controlled things - now they don't so they are having to work with other groups some with a Nationalist agenda. May not be a bad thing I don't know. 62 of the 747 MEP are in favour of abolishing the EU - that's a lot of MEP's. One of the main party leaders is an ex Romanian PM. Again maybe nothing wrong with that - but with Putin's influence on the Governments in the East of the EU there may be problems ahead. People will say they want to stay in the EU but the reality is the EU may change drastically - possibly for the better possibly for the worst. People will say we don't know what we voted for - that is right, the EU people voted to remain in in 2016 is very different to the EU of 2019.
The point was they would be voting knowing what would happen, none of this no deal ******. Can I suggest you watch The Great Hack on Netflix, it will open your eyes.
