The only time I've ever really despaired at the club was at the tail end of Hill and Flitcroft's era and the relegation back in 2014. What I see though is a club that I'm proud of. A club that's been, and still is, a place where I've had dreams realised, dreams crushed, friendships formed and time shared with four generations of family. I see a club that continues to try and go about this in the right way, not always without fault, but generally with integrity. I see a club that every so often brings joy and success and just when we're getting used to that, somehow falls away again. So the good days are priceless. What I see is Barnsley Football Club without conditions applying in respect of the division we are in. A club that's like a three legged dog. You know it's not perfect but it's loved just the same.
