Well that will be a similar angle to what Duff had so I can see why he thought it was not malicious. However, from my position in the ESL he not only led with his elbow but he seemed to thrust his arm forward with force and I am assuming that is what the lino saw. You cannot see that movement in that clip.

 

Keep hearing about the Morgan assault for which he should have been jailed, but it doesn’t have to be that bad to warrant a sending off. Of course they made the most of it, they are second to bottom of the league and need every advantage. I love my club, but if I was the ref I’d have sent Watters off. Dangerous and stupid and unnecessary, we were coasting.

I was sat in line with it in the upper West stand and had a clear view....all I can say is big daddy would have been proud of the forearm smash that watters delivered .
His action was Absolutely stupid yes stupidity at its finest....right in front of the ref too, leaving him no option but to send him off....After what we witnessed with Hulme he ought to be fined a months wages ..no place for it in a Barnsley team let alone the game in general in my opinion
