Hecky did the double at Wembley. Will always be part of our club's history. Not done great since he left though.
I'll gladly look back with fondness on his time as manager. Sentiment is pretty much all we have as football fans.
Same. Too young to properly enjoy the premier league season so 2016’s as good as I’ve had it as a Barnsley fan
Think there was abit more to it than that but I enjoyed heckys promotion season. I wish him well but imo he got alot wrong after conor was sold.
Yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooung Fooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooking Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooodger now has a fooooooooooooooooooking excuse to go and support foooooooooooooooooooking Yoonited again.
He’d tell you that himself mate now. A lot went on at the time, the next 12 months on from CH being sold was a tough time, new owners etc. The contract situation was a joke but Hecky didn’t help matters either. Little bust up and he wanted out, he would have gone whoever was to come in for him.
2 things. 1) I wish him all the best. I'm over any bitterness relating to him leaving and I always like to see one of ours find success regardless if where they are, 2) I give it a month until he starts painting himself as a martyr
Listening to Radio Sheffield in the car and they were recapping Wilder's journey as Blunts manager. Felt a bit sorry for him and the fans, not often you get a fan who can achieve so much at their club. Would have been good for things to have worked out differently with Hecky.
Cant stand either Sheffield clubs and i will be happy if they both get relegated, looked down their nose's at little old Barnsley for far too long and dismiss us as nothing.
