The issues regarding catering were brought up at the last fans forum event. There's a new bloke in charge of catering. I'm guessing there's a link there. But I can only guess.

    Maybe contact the appropriate folk?

I shared this video tonight in the hope of garnering more interest in the heritage project. Something I know a lot on here have always called for. I seem to have become embroiled in anything but. It's why I'll be deleting this account and saying goodbye. I don't blame folk for thinking I've become a point of contact, but if you were in the hospital for heart disease, you wouldn't want the doctor from GU turning up to treat you, would you?

    Goodnight, and God bless.

But you - yes even you must see that extra revenue is good for the club.

Otherwise you shut up shop and let it all fall around you.

(although I'd be up for a mass boycott of stadia based upon the sickeningly excess of players wages)

It all moves on. You need to be smart. even if it's just to get the right players.

They won't come to a neglected shithouse.

    Nor should we have to.

    :)

It's a joy. My job. I love it. I intend to do it forever.

And thus, like I said, I think I've got to go. I can't obviously post on here without being seen as BFC boy. Shame. I love the BBS. But I love my job a million times more.

Be nice to each other. #TheReds

Course you can post on here AND do your job. There's only really two people in this thread who have been making any kind of an issue and one of them is Tyrone.
Up to you of course but personally I'd much prefer you to stick around and I'm pretty sure quite a few others would too.

Of course I can see that extra revenue is good but there is far more extra revenue to come from making the concourses a place you want to spend time than there is from spending time and money doing some kind of complicated improvement on the food outlets when they are subcontracted out anyway and the solution to that particular problem is immediate, simple and unrelated to stadium improvements.

Yeah but I posted this a while ago and the same applies:

    You go to the match.

There may be some kind of attempt to garner your interest before kick off, but usually you take your seat.

You watch the first half and then would like to chat with your mates with a pint.

you cannot do this because you cannot get served.

What else are people doing at half time?

This is not just me - the queue is sometimes worse for food.

So..............in terms of supporter liaison, and in terms of what is important, where do you think you are improving things, when all I, and most supporters do, is buy a ticket and then turn up? And miss 5 minutes before half time just to get a pint.

Which is what supporters do and will always do. With bigger crowds it may get worse.

Does liaison stop crowds shouting to the front of the queue "get me 5 pints for me and my mates"?

Has anyone thought of limiting an order to e.g. 3 pints?

    Media. What a wonderful word

Shame mate, but at least there's Facebook and Twitter (Y)

Some of the replies to your well intentioned video are baffling to say the least.

    Keep up the good work.

PS - I agree it's probably a good idea to delete your account - unfortunately. Too many people on here will make life difficult.

Same here. Some people are just making themselves look stupid. I reckon it isn't very hard.

Top BBS thread. Really enjoyed it. Had everything including threadstopper's surely drug induced structure to his posts; tyrone not understanding anything ; and Rob Noodles resigning from the board in a hissy fit. Brilliant.

I literally do not know anyone off the BBS in 'real life', but reading some of the stuff that people post really does make me wonder about them. Some really bizarre mindsets coming through on this thread.

    'Tarting up the concourses'

In the mid-sixties the supporters club met in the Grove Street school. It was just kids, really, a youth club.

Near the start of the season the 'Leader' led us all across to the Ponty End and had us weeding the concourse.

Exploitation? maybe. But it was fun to be in Oakwell when there wasn't a match on.
