Have you read em. It applies to the palace situation. Not the need for clubs to on a whim play in a third kit. Which is what clubs are doing. Ripping fans off. Some kids want all three. My whole point.
Looked a bit further and what the FA say is Colours The two teams must wear colours that distinguish them from each other and the match officials Each goalkeeper must wear colours that are distinguishable from the other players and the match officials If the two goalkeepers’ shirts are the same colour and neither has another shirt, the referee allows the match to be played. So nothing about home or away, on other sites it also says colours have to be easily distinguishable for players, Officials, spectators & TV audience, so perhaps 3rd kit was created for TV?
Not getting upset mate. frustrated maybe. ( two different things) Just trying to point out like some on here that they bought the away shirt second strip call it whatever you like. Not just one but in some cases 2/3 and FULLY expect that shirt to be worn when necessary. Otherwise they may as well just buy a training top if they like the colour. Some are totally missing the point. I’ve tried to explain but it obviously doesn’t sink in. Maybe I’m to blame if I haven’t got it over right. But I know exactly what I mean. And playing games behind closed doors has absolutely nowt to do with it.
Found this astonishing. Clubs making £3 per shirt on a £50 sale. Can’t be reight surely. Article from 2016 Does also say the retailer gets 37% . ( I assume the club in Barnsley’s case. and possibly why they are the only outlet you can buy from.) When you read it you can understand it’s why it’s the advertising on the shirt that makes up the income for top clubs. Rather than the shirt sale itself. Every days a school day. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/replica-football-shirts-rip-fans-7455562
Eh ? Never heard that before seems a bit far fetched ! We’ve played in Red at away games loads of times
Think we agree mate, was just mentioning them as they're about the only example of it happening. Saw us wear their kit at Selhurst Park about 10 years ago - Bobby Hassell in a bright yellow shirt was pretty vivid. Was about the only interesting thing about the game...
