    I agree but I love them so I do have them on mine. Used to be fried potatoes but that's more effort to do!

    Traditional Welsh Breakfast

    Traditional Welsh breakfast (serves one)

    Ingredients

    2 standard eggs

    1 heaped teaspoon laverbread

    A little fine oatmeal

    1 heaped teaspoon mashed potato

    A little flour

    2 slices of bacon

    A little oil or lard

    30g cockles(optional)

    15g butter

    Salt and pepper.

    tbh it's the vilest stuff I've ever tasted - worse than Aunt Myfanwy's home-made chutney!

    A snotty egg is where you make sure your yolk isn`t over cooked to the extent that the whites haven`t quite set.

    I can honestly say it’s the vilest thing I’ve ever tasted. Absolutely horrible

    I know but I lack the accent to pull that off Ian. My Mrs’ late grandmother (and all her extended family that are Glasgow based) would probably dig me out for writing ‘potato’ as well!

    Bacon, sausage, fried egg, hash brown, chopped tomatoes, beans, fried mushrooms, black pudding and a choice of bread or toast.
