Has it been and gone? Get in. When did we rejoin the EU?

Because I could have sworn we are all still feeling the repercussions of such a stupid decision

I think this is a result of pressure from the traditional wing of the party - particularly MPs - to return to more Labour-like policies. Thankfully. Their previous stance of being "financially sound" based on questionable "fiscal rules" and trying to out-Farage Reform UK 2025 PLC, is a recipe for a disastrous General Election in 2029, not only for the Labour Party but also for the rest of us.

I'm not sure a cheque book can catch thrush.

the here and now is a direct result of Brexit. I don’t know what else to say really if we can’t seen acknowledge that.

I think some just actually acknowledge and accept that Brexit is the reason for the mess rather than gaslighting people and pretending it's been and gone so that they can redirect the blame from the cu n ts who caused it to those left to deal with it

We couldn’t! That’s the issue, we had the protection of a returns route and a facility in France to process asylum seekers before they needed to risk life crossing.

boats weren't invented in 2016 for goodness sake

Your argument point is just bonkers

Why has this thread about Labour's spending plans been turned into one about small boats? This simply plays into the hands of Fartage.

What we should be talking about are things like cheaper greener energy (no modular nuclear reactors please, in fact no more nuclear power at all thanks) and reducing NHS waiting lists along with the building of social and affordable houses. These are the things people really want.

That post was abit of a piss take as I realised the usuals were jumping on. Starmer did literally say he would stop the people smugglers get the migrants out of the hotels which costs the tax payer billions each year.

The best way to alleviate the 'problem' of asylum seekers is for every person who claims asylum we deport someone who can't stop bairning about it. Then the problem quickly goes away.
