I’m not suggesting there’s nothing I could find to do in the area; just pointing out that there’s lots to love about nowt to do with Las Vegas. Id happily holiday in Yosemite, interestingly though we drafted a bucket list the other night, and decided against the area. Just not a high enough priority. NY, Washington, SF, LA, SD were our choices for the States.
These ere bucket list thingies; does anyone have one that doesn't involve a massive carbon footprint?
I was there for ONE WHOLE NIGHT lol. It's only about a 2 hour drive from where I grew up in southern Utah. Myself and a couple of friends went there for a day/night.. Started off great, went out to eat, went to a club.. Met 3 girls which was all going fine.. Then we go back to their hotel room aaaaand they start doing literally every kind of drug imaginable and I just left, not into it haha. Regarding the post I'm sure it has plenty of shops. Many people from the Washington County area of Utah make the drive to Vegas for shopping as it's bigger and cheaper.
It’s certainly something we discussed. We all know that international travel is one of the worst things we do to the environment, but as we get old, the other consideration is that we want to spend our money on experiences rather than things. No good answer other than to just give all our money to a charity we could guarantee would benefit the world, after working 40 years and going without for lots of it.
Been 5 times and its brilliant, so much to do and see. Dubai twice and thats nice but very clinical- no rubbish in the streets or dogs. Feels safe as well but it is expensive to booze £10 a pint ( definitely no hangovers lol).
Went for 48 hours with 3 mates. Saw and did what I did and that was 21 years ago. Not been since. No intention of either. Plenty of other places I'd rather visit. It was OK. Didn't love it but didn't hate it either.
