Harvey barnes

Barnes showed moments of brilliance for us but he also put in some dreadful performances, like many of our current young players he’s improving with games & experience.

If you don’t believe me just go back & read reviews on here from some of the games he played for us in.

We didn’t have the same Barnes as West Brom do now, just like Potts, Mowatt, Pinnock & probably a few others have improved

 

Barnes was class for us look at the assists and goals he got when his form dipped so did ours

Mowatt has always had the ability he has played over 100 games for Leeds in the championship and was named poty for them.

Pinnock got overlooked for Jackson and Lindsay he then got in the side got.mom v Preston scored away at Sunderland and got injured in training broke his toe then morais pissed about with the back four. This season his is 1st proper run in the team.

 

In general players get better with time. This thread has read like we had the same version of Barnes as West Brom have which isn’t true. He looks a lot better now with games & experience like most young players

 

I agree with you players get better with time and barnes is in a much better west Brom squad surrounded by better players but the 1st half of the season he was the shining light at one point in 7 games he had assisted or scored in every game from midfield. If it wasn't for him in the 1st half of the season and mcburnie in the 2nd we would of been relegated long before the last game of the season. I just posted as appreciation for a great talent we had wlob loan who was one of the few good performers last season and will only get better
Players also need a run of games to find out if they are upto it in pinnocks case he couldn't get in for McDonald and then jackson then when he did he was unlucky to get injured and morais messed about with the back 4.
