    In truth what Harry and Megan have done is not new. In 1973 Princess Anne married Captain Mark Phillips. He was offered an earldom but turned it down, which meant that their issues re- Peter and Zara were not given Royal titles. Princess Diana also made no secret of the fact, that if she could have had her way, neither William or Harry would have had Royal titles bestowed upon them.

    We know that as far as William and Harry are concerned there is a great deal of sibling rivalry. What we don't know, is what has caused the rumoured rift between the two. What is very clear is that the tabloid press are critical of Meghan in everything she seems to do and Harry who is only too aware of the treatment his late mother had to withstand, is determined that the same fate won't befall his own wife. He has wanted out for some time and fair play to the Queen and the other royals for eventually granting the couples wishes. Like any human beings they should be given the freedom to live the life of their own choosing.

    Ffs, first they leech off of the state, now they quit to become self sufficient and they’re ungrateful. They really can’t win can they? No wonder they’re off to Canada for a better life.
