Can tell it's getting close to the end of the week. You straight up said you were a ten minute walk away from Tennents in your message. Kelburn brewery always did some nice cask and if you're yearning for Black Sheep/Timothy Taylor then maybe finding out who's got Fyne Ales on cask nearby when things open might float your boat?
Thanks Loko. Both are good breweries and have some nice ales. Pivo Estivo and Cart Blanche are good ales from Kelburn and I do like the Avalanche from Fyne Ales. Further afield, I like some of the stuff from Black Isle Brewery (Blonde, Goldfinch), Born in the Borders Brewery (Foxy Blonde, Game Bird) and Orkney Brewery (Northern Light). - well worth a look if you're not familar though I'm sure you're aware. It's probably more a nostalgia thing for me to be honest and it would be nice to have the choice as I know a few places in Edinburgh where you can regularly get Landlord on draft where as that's a rare occurrence in Glasgow.
You'll sometimes get Landlord in the Drum and Monkey. Once things have been open a while I bet they'd know behind the bar when they were ordering it in. You just named all the breweries I used to buy beer from for the pubs; Borders, Orkney and Black Isle. The guys are Stewarts in Edinburgh are an amazing bunch, and whilst it isn't cask you'll struggle to find a better lager in Glasgow than from West.
Get ready for the latest Tesco beers popping up on the shelves. Cloudwater, Vault City, a couple of others. Happening around about now I think. New Sainsbury's range is a couple of weeks off at least from memory.
Spot on there. Drum and Monkey is the place that occasionally has Landlord and if they don't then they've usually got something else worth supping. Totally agree with you on West - a great brewery and thankfully their lager is widely available in the town
The Drum is such a great pub. Not been to Glasgow many times but always try and stop in there for a pint of Cask. Love West Brewery and know the owner pretty well. Their brewery site is such a great place!
Tell you what, 3 or 4 bottles of Henry Westons 8.2 %, with magic soul on radio in background , I'm ready for chucking some shapes.

Yep Also did a craft beer bar on the riverbank. Was it Inn Deep? I’ve just got this picture, it had arched ceilings.
When it comes to craft beer there are too many, so it dilutes the picture. I bet if they were lumped together they would probably be ahead, or close, but they tend to be more regional. Leeds Brewery, that I don't rate covers a lot of Leeds, as does Kirkstall / North Bar / Northern Monk.
You're more in the know than me Donny - I'm too middle aged and not that hipster I've just done a google and it's the otherside of town just off Great Western Road. I used to go in there when I was a student and it was called something else but it's a good wee venue.
