If memory serves me right we knocked out Swansea, Brighton and Man City in that order. All relegated from the top flight that season. (Can't be arsed to check) knocked out by Liverpool after a replay at oakwell..
Edit must have dreamt that relegation stuff. Age is taking it's toll.:(

Just had a mate text me, he is convinced Trev was at the Cross Keys at Hoyland Common when he saw the keeper off his line. Personally I think that's b0llox.

We had this discussion some weeks ago.

Without a shadow of a doubt, he was on Doncaster Road near the Dove when the ball left his foot.

    Clever Trevor, the Crafty Cockney.

Agree with all the comments above. A decent goal scorer, not prolific, but the ideal centre forward. Strong, good in the air and a fantastic touch for a big man. Plus great work rate and brought others into the game.

At the evening with Sir Ronald at the Lamproom a couple of years ago, he mentioned what a good player Trev was (and if Ronnie says someone’s good, who are we to argue) and that he confided in Ronnie that he’d made a big mistake leaving when he did.

Also remember him throwing his shirt at Clarkie when substituted in a home defeat to Pompey. Had a letter placing him on the transfer list handed to him as he got out of the bath. Thank goodness they made up, though.

Never the same player when he left the well. Like a few others.

Wonder if he's still got the knowledge. Forgot he had a second spell with us. 9 games in 86 according to Wiki.

It was a long time ago.

I'll never forget the white-knuckle drive in the fog on the M62 to Liverpool.

Yeah hundreds having a pi ss on m62 that was at a standstill .
the feel good factor after the Man City result .
That was truly a top division team and I think we would have done very well with that team , unfortunately we just couldn’t get there .

Memories! I was at college in Leicester at the time and didn't have a car. I talked two mates in my then local, The Town Arms, to drive me up on the Tuesday night. They were Chelsea fans, but readily agreed. I remember standing and being crushed in the West Stand. My dad was a local cop and in charge of the policing for the Barnsley games in those days.

Yup. Although I did like Eddie and before him, Jimmy Robson.
