A great question, here's a list of things I enjoy: - Socialising with friends, with or without alcohol, but mainly with. Eating out, especially curry, but loads of other options around Barnsley. Software writing. Maintaining 3 websites, even though I'm getting a bit rusty by modern web design standards. Electronic design and construction. Reading most (but not all) threads on the BBS, including this one. Skiing. Long distance walking. Wild camping. Avoiding pointless rambling discussions with people with extreme views, both on here and in person, especially about viruses, vaccines, lockdowns etc. Visiting Germany and Austria, and speaking German with the locals. Watching wildlife in my garden and in the wider area. Village cricket, formerly as a player but now as a spectator and volunteer.
Same here, I think he's mine too. Someone I always come back to and who never goes away - a true artist, amazing lyricist and his guitar playing is really sublime. There's a wealth of content of live shows on YouTube, seems like an endless supply. I just wish I was old enough to have seen him back in the day, he died when I just started going to gigs.
It's a tiny one-person tent, so it's not half as interesting as your fantasy would have you imagine....
Everywhere but especially with my family , at Oakwell , fishing, but long distance walking & trekking is my favourite outdoor pastime with getting to the top of mountains giving me immense pleasure & satisfaction .
Brodsworth community woodland (or pit top as it's also known) beautiful peaceful place on the site of the former brodsworth pit, go up there most mornings with the dog and just escape from all the troubles in the world and just take in nature, it's particularly nice in autumn as all the trees turn in to all the splendid colours of autumn, this place as helped me so much with my mental health this passed 18 months to recover from serious illness, etc don't know what I'd have done without it
Most things tbh, had a lovely walk with the dog this afternoon. My children, work (sometimes), football, cricket, eating and drinking, reading , watching TV, sunny days, making plans, holidays.
My girlfriend, my family, Barnsley Football Club, All Elite Wrestling, live music, good food, good beer, travelling to different countries. Pretty boring, me.
Finally got round to watching the documentary last week. Heartbreaking & life affirming in equal measures which sums up his music. Was lucky enough to see him live at Manchester Academy. Have to say he wasn't in his best form that night, but great to have seen him.
