Never mind all that, have you checked if the sea’s closed?

When we went Ibiza in July we found a local doctor who did the test,I think it was 25€ each, he gave us a signed document which we handed in at the airport with our passport when checking in,

I am going next Sunday and have watched this thread hoping for the answer to that question. However, my mate has just sorted it for me. He used a company called Chronomics, the tests were £28 each, postage free. I believe one is to take on day 2, once there, and the other (as they are getting despatched on separate dates) is for day 2 once home.
Must admit, though, the entire process, vaccine passport, passenger locator forms etc, is a shed load of hassle and left me kind of wishing I hadn’t agreed to go at all.

Yeah I was thinking shall we just do Costa del Norfolk, but I can't see this procedure changing in the next 12 months if ever, so figured I might as well get used to it now.

Seriously…I found it all really straightforward and easy, I went to work and when I got home everything was done and printed out (extra backup) :)

Well, that’s the thing. I always feel like we are treat like cattle, in the airport, as it is. But imagine it to be worse now we are disease riddled non-EU scum!!

We used Chronomics, believe me when you're there its worth it. Barely knew there had been a pandemic in Kos until you went into a building, great to get away from it all.

TUI use this Klarity company, £25 for the antigen out there and £70 for the PCR on return here, looks to be the best value coupled with good reviews that I've seen

Kos town was really busy, whereas I believe Corfu town is a bit dead (relies on cruise ship trade).
When in Kos I felt so sorry for the staff in the hotel, inside and out always in masks and latex gloves in temperatures close to 40c.

But being in Kos was the most normal I’d felt on over a year.

We used chronomics with Tui, £20 package, take a test out with you that we did a couple of days before returning and then when we got home they posted out the day 2 test. The ball ache was filling the locator forms and check in - not the tests.

Booked the antigen from Klarity £25 and the PCR from Apollo £60, so saved £20 on getting both from Klarity.

Both companies have 4 or 5 star ratings. £170 for the 2 of us.

PCRs are available at £48 and £55 from Dante and Coronafocus but these only had 1 or 2 star ratings due to delays, missing tests etc.

Thanks for that. How does the Apollo work for the day 2 test on return? Are they sent out for home use or do you have to book in somewhere?

Airport testing at collinsons looked ok if your flights worked with their opening hours

We are flying to Kos on Saturday and we’ve booked tests through screen 4 for £55 each

Local company in Carlton that post them out to you and you then pop them in a drop box at their office when done

On a vaguely related topic......face masks.

If you are exempt due to physical or mental reasons, it has never been mandatory to wear a mask in this country, you did not have to provide proof of exemption and indeed it is not lawful to insist for proof. However airports and carriers seem to be insisting they are worn and that you need proof of exemption from a doctor if you are exempt.
Doctors have been advised, as they are far too busy o_O, not to provide this proof as legally it is not needed. I understand foreign airports may have different disability laws.

So how can the airports and carriers get away with this stance under current disability laws, or, when u actually get there, are they more relaxed about it and the sunflower hidden disability lanyard will suffice?

Another thing to think about when taking your car abroad - the GB sticker. I get regular updates from a Spanish police website called N332 and they announced last week that the GB sticker was being phased out in favour of one saying UK. I didn’t read all of it because I’m not taking my car to Spain when I go next month but travellers in this thread should check that one out before giving the gendarmerie etc an excuse to fine you.

This next trip is with a view to selling our house on the Costa Blanca. The whole idea of regular trips out there is soured now and we have decided to sell. A mobile home at Cayton Bay will be a lot less hassle (and expense!). Owning Spanish property is nothing but a money pit, especially now.
