Getting rid of Schopp would be an admission of failure by Conway etc.

Not bothered about the passion, but definitely the tactical nous and getting them playing as a team. I'd love us to appoint someone for longer than a season, who can grow as a managerwith us and we grow as a team.

If the board want him gone, he’ll be gone. It’s a simple business decision.

However, the issue lies in this……

USUALLY we have a contingency group of staff who can take over and keep it going until a new manager is appointed. We are severely weakened in this area still, and the support isn’t there yet. So maybe they are making enquiries elsewhere before giving him the boot. The club always have an idea who they want in next, so maybe they are ensuring that person is available and wants to (and meets new Permit criteria). Otherwise they have to bide their time. Also, the upcoming international break seems the best time to do it too. Sacking a manager too soon doesn’t make the position as attractive to new candidates.

    Both.

There are many different situations, many different industries, but my experience has often been that the highest placed business leaders aren't the ones who make decisions without emotion, quite the opposite.

There is a decision to be made. I was behind giving this guy time, but the last two games have shown his ineptitude. Conway & co are business people, who have run the club well since the takeover. OK the comms have been poor at times & the overall "match day experience" has faltered somewhat. I trust them to wield the knife on a bad appointment & find at least a stop gap that can revitalise what is a decent championship squad of hungry young players.
