Absolutely. If there’d been fans there too, then bl00dy hell. It was still an amazing feat regardless.
It was, take nothing away. I was still jumping about like a madman in my house haha, but not the same
Thanks Gerhard. https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/12034262/barnsley-boss-shares-emotional-joy
Must have been like booking out a theatre/ concert/ cinema just for your friends all those empty stadiums. You'll get to be one of the few to say you were at the last league game at Griffin Park. Couldn't quite believe it when the goal went in and all the other results went our way!
That was a great escape yes .....but my all time favourite was at Huddersfield under Flickr....amazing scenes at the end....YORSHIRE, YORKSHIRE, YORKSHIRE...... you’ll never see owt like fans together like that again!
I agree with this and thought of Struber as a football purist in coaching terms, which you could see in the fact that we never cheated for a penalty, or such during his time, but kept trying to play neat, quick football with the ball on the deck. The key question is, though ...... if he does go to Man U, do you think we would accept a January bid of £10 million from them for Cauley Woodrow?? Or maybe a swap deal?? Dream on!! All the best to Struber. I don't think that he was wrong in his assessment of the club's ambition at the point he left. He knew where we needed strengthening and we had lined up players of a calibre thought good enough to make us a force, but then we were not able to get them in and turned to cheaper options. The rest is history, but let's hope that this season won't be.
GS post match interview showed the world what it meant to keep BFC in the championship, after Brentford game. I wish this guy can do the same with our current squad. Somehow I don't think it will. And I don't consider GS lucky. You have to make your own luck and GS did exactly that.
