I'd argue that it'd be more constructive feedback for the issues raised by Nudger to be put in writing to the club. Have to say that as I haven't changed my seat since it became designated to have one, I've never had the need to check the view etc, although I do remember more open access to the ground back in the 1990s to select a seat, not that I'd expect access to the ground without prior arrangement. I also suspect that as time moves on we will see gradual changes to things at the club, but if they've given priority to the playing squad then I can't argue with that. Can sympathise with the need to cater for people who don't use online tools, or feel uncomfortable using them, but the stadium plan is more than adequate viewed on a tablet, in my opinion, and I think we also have images available via the website 'viewfrommyseat' or whatever its called?
I knew some smart arse was gonna say that. I don't actually like the stuff but the other half does and she's stopped eating it. Apparently the stuff that leaches off the bag is pretty bad news.
Thanks for the heads-up mate. I'll give it a wide birth and stick to my diet of whiskey, cigarettes, heroin, fried bread and promiscuous unprotected gay sex. That's depressingly close to the truth. Apart from the sex. Unfortunately.
1) Why did you call him darling? 2) The quote, ‘The problem here lies with the lazy attitude and poor customer relations that exists within the hierarchy of the club‘ is a huge insult to a group of people that work within whatever restraints they may have at a certain time, to overall deliver really good customer service. There’s no need to insult them in this way. 3) GG wasn’t American? 4) Where does Gally’s love for the US come from? 5) I’m surprised you didn’t start a new thread on this
This thread has gone on far too long. What’s said is said - let’s hope the club picks it up and looks at it. But as you have reignited the fire (again) then I’ll answer yer questions. 1) Lol !!!! 2) Fingers crossed that the people responsible for this totally inadequate system of season ticket sales both on the website and on the single small screen computer in the shop takes all what I (and others) have said as an insult. Because in my opinion they are insulting the supporters in thier level of customer service so they deserve all the abuse they get. 3) GG wasn’t in the list of the last 2 CEOs. Conway is. 4) Reading Gallys posts over the years he seems to have spent some quality time in America at conferences etc. I might be wrong- but didn’t he meet his wife over there? 5) Yer right on that one - this thread has gone on far too long. And as such people will probably not read the full content of the thread. But as I’ve said - what’s been said has been said and lm sure the powers that be have got the message. I’m at the club today - if owt else happens I’ll not add it to this thread.
Here's my experience of buying tickets at the ground today, 24 hours before the first home game. There was a constant flow of customers, I was 4th in the queue on arrival and there were 4 people behind me when I left. The problem wasn't the quality/view of the seating map. The screen was facing me and the staff member had their back to me using it. The seating map was also more detailed than the one I usually use online. The issue was there was only ONE staff member selling tickets...in the club shop rather than the box office...and he required a 'runner' to complete every transaction. This SECOND staff member was summoned each time and she had to scuttle into a room next door to get the tickets from the printer. On her return, she then had to go over to the shop till to get me some change. Why are they doing this? How can this be better than ONE staff member using a self contained position in the box office?
Well - I was back in the shop today to pick up the season tickets - and the position of the screen was different - and what was on the screen seemed to be different. It definitely wasn’t the weird West Stand Lower seating plan. But as you say - just ONE person selling tickets. And while I was there 2 different individuals came into the office for Sheffield Wednesday tickets and both left without buying tickets because of the chaos in the shop - eg long queues - no changing rooms so blokes striping off to try on shirts etc. People queuing for season tickets only to find when they got to the front of the queue that the tickets were being dished out on a jumble sale stall in the middle of East Stand Lower. BTW - while I was in the East Stand Lower I noticed there’s a sizeable space in the rafters that could be utilised into office space - or something that would enable the space under the Ponty to be used more effectively. The whole set up seems more akin to a car boot sale than a professional football club. As per usual the staff in the shop were great.
People queuing for season tickets only tofind when they got to the front of thequeue that the tickets were being dishedout on a jumble sale stall in the middle ofEast Stand Lower. It's been advertised every day that season tickets were to be picked up from the Eastcstand.
GG put together a plan to do that and turn the current offices and ozone into a sports bar but wont happen until they own the ground
Well it had dropped off the front page of topics, SOMEONE did make a point of looking for it in order to resurrect it. YOU could have just left it alone to DIE down the end of page 2. Bugger, look what u made me do.......
