You are right. Social media has been manipulated to extend the divide & the misinformation. Anything actually valid is "fake news", according to the former incumbent of the White House, (funny it is called that) .

Agreed, it's merely a postponement, and as soon as Christmas is over and the virus starts spreading fast again we'll be in for a prolonged lockdown as Chef Tyke says.
Sunak is preparing for it now
But at least the big corporations and toy manufacturers will have sold a shed load of stuff for the event and Boris won't be accused of wrecking Christmas.
And we can go to the pub and celebrate...as long as it's in Cornwall
You think 2020 has been bad.
From Jan 1st the **** storm will really hit us

There is a crucifixion to celebrate. Hancock & Johnson? Will they rise from the dead, rolling away the Brexit stone? Will we get back to normal life or will our civil liberties be forever be eroded?

A lot of questions. I hope Barnsley are around the top 6 at easter.

God, I'd forgotten about that. Are they still planning that festival too?

Until social distancing ends many jobs will not be viable. By the time it does those jobs will no longer exist (if they even do at this point) then we will be left with high unemployment and a huge debt from paying the furlough.

There is no way areas of our economy will recover,

It is amusing that people under lockdown got by due to creative industries. The same ones that have been shat on.

When the first lockdown happend the furlough was to the end of may, when it was initially extended until June I remember thinking that this was going to be more than ' three weeks to flatten the curve'.

When i heard the new furlough was to be to the end of March this was going to be a hard winter. This concerns me more.

I honestly can’t decipher which half you’re talking about in that post. Especially the entrenched in a pre judged opinion part.

Likewise. It’s a pity people on here (not all) act like experts on the US despite their little or zero ties to anything other than reading the media.

I get the Trump slating I really do, despite the refusal to discuss anything positive about the US. But the lack of acknowledgement on anything negative about Democrats is pretty astounding.

I’m certainly not an expert on US and don’t profess to be, nor do I wish to be.

    I gave an opinion.

Even on my worst day, I can’t imagine seeking to praise Donald Trump for anything. I’m very comfortable with that.
