Jesus, I honestly thought you'd made that up until I googled it. Surely you'd change your name by deed poll. Must have caused him so much bother over the years. Although if he played today, I reckon Reading would sell loads of shirts with his name on!

Still has to be Willie Guerrit for me. Goalkeeper for Swansea as most will know. Don't know if I spelled it right tho

    Peter Hartley and James Poole.

Not remarkable names in themselves, however when they both scored in the same game for Hartlepool...

George Best. With a name like that, he couldn't possibly have been rubbish.

Or as the Daily Record referred to him when he'd been caught shagging around, "David Badwillie".

Readings goalie during the seventies, Steven Death. Wouldn’t have sold many shirts with his name on!
Imagine taking a penalty against him and staring Death in the face :)

Lol... I can well recall our little group, and others around us, having bouts of giggles etc whenever he got near the ball

One of the Portuguese sub goalies in the 90’s went by the name of Quim. I remember us all at school seeing it in one of the Panini sticker books and finding it hilarious (think it was USA 94).

The South Korean squad also had Sang Bum Gu, and my all time favourite Bum Chul Sin.
