Blackburn played Millwall this week, with Blackburn in blue and white halves, and Millwall in green and white halves. There were plenty passes that looked like a case of mistaken identity.
If we played in red as much as possible what would be the point of releasing more than one replica kit to purchase? Who'd buy a 2nd or 3rd strip if they never got to see the players in it?
Wrong. mis sold. When I buy anything it should be what’s printed on the tin. Not a substitute. I don’t care if anyone disagrees whether it’s an issue for them. It’s an issue for some. No. it’s not life changing. It’s about mis-selling. Q5 If you were mis-sold something on a pretence would you accept it.
So we’ll all go with you then. Lots on here bought several shirts on the footing it was the 2nd choice. It’s not a massive issue. But an issue. Why not produce strips of 20 different colours. If it’s for fashion. And make it a lottery. Which will be worn. ? .
Woah, I'm not saying everyone has to share my opinion. I was just seeing if it was just me who thought this was a non-issue, as it seems to have come up a few times now. Personally, if I liked a Barnsley shirt, I'd buy it regardless of how many times we actually played in it. And I think the comments about it being mis-sold are a bit far too. It's not like they made a promise that the white kit will be used on X number of occasions. Can't believe I'm letting myself get drawn into this discussion now! Off for a cuppa.
Case dismissed. White kit was advertised as Away Kit, not second choice. Yellow Kit advertised as 3rd kit. So when playing away the choice is from red, white or yellow as decided by officials. Any other colour used could be deemed as mis-selling. The ones with the biggest argument may be those with the goalkeeper kit cos who knows what that will be. Seems to have been green in the main.
We are talking about a football shirt, right? One of three outfield shirts on sale this season. It is the match officials and relevant personnel from both clubs who come together ahead of matchdays and decide which colours will be worn. There is no conspiracy, you aren’t being misled by anyone or mis-sold anything. When purchasing a football shirt, nowhere do the club explicitly state that a shirt will be worn a set number of times etc. There have been many kits over the years that barely got an outing. I have guessed our kit colours correctly ahead of every game this season, except at Blackburn. I still have no idea why we wore yellow there but to be honest buddy, I don’t really care. Let’s see if I get the rest of the games right for a bit of fun: Red shirt at Wednesday. Red at Swansea. Yellow at Rotherham. Red at Norwich. Red at Watford. White at Forest. Yellow at Brentford. White at Bristol. Red at QPR. Yellow at Bournemouth. Red at Wycombe. White at Luton. Red at Coventry. Red at Huddersfield. Red at Preston. They’d be my logical guesses. So basically, we will have worn red in the vast majority of our games with occasional changes due to clashing.
Fair enough. If it’s not mis-sold how would you word it. 2nd strip away strip. Not third. Or shall we have a 4th and fifth.
I honestly don't know mate. I just see the term mis-sold as suggesting there was some kind of intent to deceive or mislead the customer. I don't think that's the case here. And if we do only wear it once this season then it can go down as a rarity! The fabled white kit. Be worth millions.
ring ring, ring ring hello long pause, click hello my name is Carly, our records lead us to believe you have been mis-sold professional match wear by Barnsley Football Club Is this correct? yeah the b***rds flogged me one kit telling me thats what we were going to play in and then sold another - now it feels like i'm on the wrong team. Absolute ****s trick ok it sounds like we can help ... we can challenge that on a no win no fee on your behalf great... this will show em its just £39.99 to get the ball rolling on this for administration fees which you will get back if we win... okay? **** it clunk
Totally misses the point. I read the situation differently. If you don’t really care that’s fine. that’s your perogative.
Nobody was ever concerned until the idea of a third kit was introduced. My personal opinion on owt like that confine it to the training top section. I want Barnsley to play in Red at every opportunity. And just have a second choice as was always the case. Some clubs go further I believe incorporating a 4th kit. Where does it end.
It's not PPI. It's a flaming football shirt, I've not bought one for years but in the main I bought if I liked it not if it was our home, away, 3rd or 4th kit didn't matter. Not sure this an argument you are going to win bud
Not even close to mid-sold. And what grown adult buys a football shirt so they can match the players? Does it really matter what colour they play in at all? The answer is no. Not even slightly. Not in a million years. No.
