I like Crossley, I just think he was miles off many times tonight. I think it's so difficult to come from behind to win a game away from home, and for me it was inevitable that was going to be the result tonight, we were so much stronger than the opposition with such a younger team and that's a joyous thing. We're 13th in the Championship, pretty much where we deserve to be on performances and isn't that just great. It's like being back in the 80s. We're a genuine midtable team. We're not going down.
It seems to me he just likes to get the ball up the pitch quickly, but it’s fairly controlled. I think we are attractive to watch.
What do you expect when you call me " superior and fatuous"? To get down on my knees and suck your c*ck? Get some self awareness. Buy it if you need to.
I agree with a lot in this thread but "Palmer the size of a tank"? Am I missing something? He's 5"11' and 70kg.
Its mental to say if we were more clinical we would be blowing teams away. If we get mid table to 16th thie season. Ill be booming.
Top performance, great win. I watched the full match which is a new thing for me after we conceded through sloppy play. I nearly launched the remote through my TV screen with the fecking about in the corner. ( Andersen launch him into stand). It didn't matter on another night we win 5 or 6 to 1 such was our superiority. Yes Birmingham had their moments but I always felt we'd win. I was also pleased for Adeboyejo. He's got the touch of a fairy Elephant but defenders bounce off him and he holds it up. Good night.
He just looks really big and strong to me. I might have overemphasised it. But that's the presence he seems to exude.
I think you're quoting the wrong post there mate. I answered another post in all honesty and you told me to stick to croquet. That was, on your part, superior and fatuous.
Credit, absolutely. End of the day we've won more matches under the new boss than I expected we would, and as unsubstantiated as it is, more than I think we'd have won under the previous boss. It's definitely working, and results are what matter. I've read your thoughts on the formation and I agree, it doesn't seem on paper to get the most out of the players we have. That's what leads me to think, if that's the way he wants to play, we need a couple of additions to give it the best chance of paying off. It's early days, but I have a minor dislike for the directness of his play. It feels like we give the ball away too often and too easily, and the opposition should be able to figure it out. It also seems to need most of our team to be on top of their game, and if a few aren't there, we look poor for long periods. But again, it's all about the end result, and no-one can argue that it hasn't been effective. Even in games we've lost, we've created more than enough chances to win. Like you say, the manager probably won us the game tonight. For all that managers take credit and blame for results, it's pretty rare at any level that you can say that managers affect a game so directly. Kudos, Mr Ismael, and long may it continue.
Agree with a lot of that. I really like Palmer and would love for him to get more minutes but I get that it’s tough with the competition he has.
Well if anyone can be bothered to look back, which I doubt, then they may find I might be right. But it doesn't really matter.
Agree when 2 or 3 dont perform we struggle and have done for a while. He plays a squad game for me and its whats needed with 2 games a week and the pressing style and energy we use.
