I think it's fine if you're travelling between junctions 37 and 34 of the M1 to collect something. The signs are there for a reason, as a deterrent to people thinking about making longer journeys. The government have really put a lot of thought into this. They want to stop people that are drawn to flouting the rules and doing what they want. For example, someone may drive North from London and end up at Barnard Castle and they really want to avoid that. That sort of thing.. If you're testing your eyesight though I think it's fine to cover at least five junctions, just to get a good run at it and be absolutely sure.
That's an old photo from last season Helen, it's got the Preedy/Cryne flag on it. I can assure you the big flag is not at Oakwell, it's in my garden shed
Left ours there Helen, at the ground (Hoyland reds and Wombwell reds) In anticipation of not getting back any time soon. Be surprised if we get back in the grounds this season tbh. Certainly not this side of Xmas. Surprised they took em down. When they did. Ready for collection. Could have done it in a very short period prior to the 1st game let back in.
For a lot of them the smaller indepents its **** or bust. The money from the government might cover a couple of staff. They get **** all towards anything else. Certainly not enough to cover overheads. The pubs are strange exemptions. You can walk into Costa upto the till and order your frappe mocha christmas latte and go sit on the bench outside. No problem. You want a pint you have to pre order. Click and collect. Text. Phone. Email. You cant go in to say the No7 and ask at the bar for 3 pints of Barnsley bitter. Once you have said pints you cant sit on the benches outside. You have to go away from the premises. So town hall steps. But you cant. Its a no street drinking town unless youve got a license from the council outside your pub. So all whats happened is everyones gone out over the last few days prior to lockdown and filled their boots. Now its everyone round to X for a party. Or if you know the right students. A rave. Wales saw this weekend the biggest invasion of Englishmen since Edward the 1st.
