He doesn't have the patience or calmness that Vaughan, Strauss and Cook showed. Can't imagine him in a position like Edgbaston '05 or Trent Bridge '13. Add to that his treatment of players like Archer and Ali, it doesn't add up to much captaincy wise. Similarly with Silverwood. How many players have improved under his coaching, in comparison with Fletcher and Flower? (not sure Bayliss did much either)
