    What’s this with commentators saying 55 years since we beat Germany in finals ?
    We beat them in 2000 ! Fair enough we both went out of group but we did Beat them .

    Agree and all this sheet about Sterling on BBC News. Don't we ever learn?     They did refer to the knockout phases.

    And did show the one game we beat them in group stage (shearer header)

    At least Lineker and his crew did anyway

    Czech Republic in QF , Croatia took Spain to extra time.
    Knocked out Germany in round of 16 , so other than Scotland who they couldnt beat , they have played solid teams.
    The teams England have played have all been reasonably solid in defence , also England are playing somewhat similar to Barnsley in that not a lot of football in the midfield.

    you could argue teams like that win them for a reason. I think it has all been quite calculated by Southgate.

    I prefer to watch much more expansive football, which is especially frustrating with the talent at his disposal, but he has now given us a great chance to win it.

    the teams we have played are no easier than any of the others.
