I felt indifferent towards the wedding but when I watched it seeing how it brought so many people together I thought it was great, encapsulated all that's good about our wonderful country .
Certainly would not be tax evading as I value our public services. Typical of the greed culture though your attitude.
Which poll? You need to back such statements up with documentary evidence. I've just had a look and the last official poll i can find is one from yougov in sept 15 which shows the complete opposite of what you said. I hold no preference either way in this debate, just like to see a balanced argument based on fact not fiction.
That's not the case mate, if the Queen were to visit tommorow I'd bet you couldn't move In tarn. Tarn folk are fiercely patriotic and proud passionate folk, salt of the earth owt warrior.
I pay my fair share in taxes like the next man . Maybe the 'public services ' should be a bit more efficient when spending our money.
You were the one who stated you would happily not pay your fair share. I’m sure any service could be more efficient but they wouldn’t need to worry were the correct taxes to be paid.
Would you be happy with your children using such language as you used in your title? If you had any of course.
I've been in Town and environs when she visited ... the only folk who gave a fook were old grannies and school kids that were forcibly wheeled out to wave at her.. I remember seeing her sticking her nose up as she bombed it down Park rd on her last visit .
I’m fiercely patriotic, as are many people in countries who don’t have a monarchy - they’re not mutually exclusive.
I've no issue with a "Royal" family. Of course they should pay there own taxes (not sure why prince Charles' companies are giving charitable status, and of course they should pay for there property refurbishments like we all do. Though if it's right they can receive hundreds of millions from the taxpayer to make Buckingham palace "safe" ... Then I'm sure my kitchen extension is allowable for a free non payable loan from hmrc
I'm not particularly a Royalist and the Monarchy might not be a perfect system but we have to have a head of state. Would we really want any of our current politicians left or right to be head of state? Look at the USA they have Trump. I know who I prefer. The Queen, who like it or not has dedicated her whole life to public service in our country I certainly wouldn't swap my life with any of the Royals they are can't simply nip into town for a pint or go down to Oakwell (or Villa Park) like we can, their lives aren't their own. Harry is the best of the lot of them, served his country not behind a desk but on the front line He's tried to be as close to the population as he possibly can, so I think wether you are a Republican or a Royalist he deserves respect and a bit of slack today of all days.
Maybe a certain word used may not suit your taste, my husband wouldn’t be happy with my use of the English vocabulary. Lighten up, I’m fed up of reading negative unnecessary ***** towards our Monarchy without a good valid reason.....
