I wonder if it was just our area (I’m not LS6 but nearby) or if everyone was treated to it. Every page made me laugh/get angrier than the last.

There are left wing reasons for wanting out, see videos by Mr Scargill on the subject.

EDIT: Not having read the rest of the thread when I posted, I should possibly have posted, as others did in the thread, to search for the views of Tony Benn.

Found a bit of it here @shenk1, which includes my personal favourite part: 'the circle of defeat'. It was the centre page spread but has been split into two separate pages for the pic. With the articles following it, he claims to be being fair and including ones from both sides but his commentary before each one is far from fair, plus his selections are carefully chosen of course.

Please, please click the right arrow and read his little 'intros' even if you don't read the articles. They are terrible.

Agree. The man is a blithering idiot. We're camra members and get 50p off vouchers with membership (about £12 worth I think). Refuse to spend them on his grotty nearly out of date beer.

I agree with your thought process idealogically, but in reality the Labour Party has ended up in a fight of two sides. The winning side, if it is on the far right won't deliver your dreams.

No. They weren’t worse, but they were hugely misguided. Hence my no vote.

Any dyed in the wool labour supporter who would still vote leave, knowing all that we do now, very much is worse though. And there are plenty.

Not all people who voted leave did so in a protest against immigration of course, there were many in this area though and I can guarantee that without the votes of racist, bigoted xenophobes, and those too ‘ill informed’ (aka thick as mince) to see that in or out of the eu we would still have roundly the same levels of inward migration or at the very least nobody would be ‘sent home’ - leave would not have come close to winning.

We are taking back control though.

Not exactly sure what of, and it’s Boris who’s controlling it, but Rule Britannia. Loving life.

I would estimate that at least two or three of those 7 have been horribly disappointed that the foreign looking types haven’t been sent home.

And before anybody jumps down my throat, that is just my guess - but walk down the street and talk to anyone, go in any boozer, that is and remains the main reason why leave was voted for, in Donny, and from what I’ve seen Barnsley too.

There are plenty who think that after October 31 all the Poles and Muslims get sent home. It’s actually depressing and a sad indictment on the complete lack of understanding people have yet vote to change the whole future of the country for everyone.

It should never have been put to the people, at least not as shoddily as it was.

Direct that question to Jeremy Corbyn and Len McCluskey.

Well firstly we weren’t ok before the common market, we were knackered and known as ‘the sick man of europe’.
2ndly, the EU is a democracy in which we hold a lot of power and influence.
But those are just ‘facts’ and we don’t need them nowadays.

I was back home for a month last summer and heard people actually say that getting out of the EU was going to be good for the country because all the Indians and Pakistanis would be sent home. Don’t tell me there aren’t people too thick to be allowed to vote :(

I think there were a lot of people who literally thought that within a couple of months of the vote, we'd be out and that a lot of perceived foreign people (I'm including English but foreign parents) would be sent home.
