I read something last week about a court hearing in Spain about two Spanish clubs and Italian club trying to get a ruling to allow them to do so. Can’t remember exact details but it left me with distinct impression it wasn’t completely dead. Just done a quick Google and this came up wasn’t the article I read but it gives the gist. https://www.politico.eu/article/hold-football-super-league-court-hearing-set-for-july/amp/
The programme illustrates that Real Madrid. Barcelona and Juventus see the super league money generated will put em on a par with the mega bucks clubs overtaking em. Eg City and PSG. PSG have spent mind boggling sums. (as if they weren't already) That The 2 spanish clubs have accumulated massive amounts of debt. Becoming also rans in the process. The fans did not rebel against SL because they see themselves on the European stage rather than the domestic. Whereas the English fans rebelled, massively against their own clubs. The Apologies of the so called big English big 6. Were because they got caught with the tail between their legs. Humble pie but doubfully sincere. Give it a watch mate. Some owners full of **** and quite embarrassing on their opinions.
Says he had "difficulty transferring funds". In all honesty he probably didn't have the ******* funds!! The administrators need taking to task over how they've allowed this situation to develop. Something not right with how they allowed Kirchner back in at the last minute as preferred bidder.
Theres got to be a serious punishment made here by the Efl, as a deterrent to Derby and to every other club as well. Summat like -20 points and that would surely mean another relegation struggle. But they won't of course, and we all know they/Derby will come out of it much better than what they deserve to.
I’m led to believe that he was the only one that got anywhere near the reported £35 million price tag and who was also prepared to pay the administrators fees
EFL should also take lessons from this too. Questions should be made of how it got this far and EFL moving forward should be closer involved in any future instances of clubs going into administration instead of leaving to a 3rd party.
So Derby Fans are now delighted expecting Mike Ashley to buy them at a knockdown price He might just do so but you can guarantee he won’t be paying any of the debts other than football ones so best case for Derby is now Mike Ashley as owner and start on -15 points I know if Ashley bought us that would be the end for me
The Efl release the championship and league 1 and league 2 fixtures in 7 days time. Derby County are still in administration, have no new owner and have 5 contracted players. How on earth if nothing changes in the meantime can this shambles of a football club be included in the fixture list. Been in admin since last September. Its an utter pi55take.
From the Torygraph:- "Mike Ashley launches High Court claim against Quantuma administrator Carl Jackson. The former Newcastle owner claims Jackson made false representations over Ashley's interest in taking over Derby."
Yeah but it makes it funnier lol, hearing more and more bad news coming from this complete sham of a club. Please keep it up Direby Fc.
The English Football League has taken the unprecedented step to become more closely involved with the sale of the club. Mmmmmm
One rule for favoured clubs. They wouldn’t be doing that if it was us or Rotherham Luton etc It makes their throwing of Bury under the bus even more discriminatory
While it’s never nice seeing a club fail and no one wants a team to be liquidated (maybe Sheffield Wednesday!) Derby have had so many chances and so much time afforded them to sort this mess out. How much chance did York, Bury and Macclesfield get to sort it out? ELF showing one rule for one type of club and another rule for others.
