As @SuperTyke says, it was tried for a while. Scrapped by FIFA Seemingly because countries without a rugby culture couldn't get their heads around the concept.

Was he advocating cheating or was he saying don’t avoid the keeper if there’s an obvious challenge coming and you’re going to get there first?

Was a penalty for me. Would be fuming if that was us at home to Liverpool anyway.

    I think it's time for a rethink.

our comments are interesting & I do not disagree with you but the way sky have brought their money into the game in the last 30 years has had a knock on effect which appears to have benefited the game , in the seventies & eighties pre sky the attendances were very poor at any level , from the old first division right down to the 4th , there is someone on my facebook who regularly posts the results from the " Green Un " from the seventies & eighties , which is a good read but I always look at the crowds & they are a real eye opener . It could be a number of things that have made the game more appealing, all seater stadiums , less hooligans plus match day experience in general , they are all possible reasons , I don"t know but certainly the influx of foreign stars into our game has been a positive & I doubt that would have happened without Sky . I personally think that Sky are really good for the game especially when you remember what happened to us when ITV pulled the plug ,but money distribution wants a complete revamp as does parachute payments & the running of both the Premier league & the EFL & until both bodies come up with a unified strategy to take the game forward then the only the rich will prosper & the the game in general will suffer.
