    Big Val's getting great results with a set of players that are not his choosing, can't understand in any way whatsoever why you'd have even the slightest gripe at him. Let him get on with it and enjoy the wins.

    Whichever way you look at it that style of football has proved effective for teams who either can’t afford real talent, or don’t care about it. Leeds won the premier league with it, Wimbledon the cup and Sheffield Wednesday got a place in the premiership. Jack Charlton took Ireland to the World Cup finals and beat England.
    It values athleticism over skill and brute force over finesse. It’s not pleasant to watch and even when you win you don’t enjoy it. It made Adeboyejo look like Pele.
    It’s 3 points and that’s all.
