I know that , you know that, we all know that but don't **** stir, let's see what this transfere window brings, like I said "don't poke the bear"
I'm not sure you'll find it in today’s market. Whiteman? Kane? Neither is better than Mowatt, and you're probably looking at over £1m for Whiteman anyway.
I think all we need is to keep hold of our current players and buy a couple of forwards. We need a player in the mould of Ricardo Vaz Te. Someone quick, tall and strong that can play as a wide forward, who would be ideally suited to our more direct style of play.
I’d be happy if we didn’t sell and didn’t push the boat out either as that would still be progress in my eyes, especially in current climate.
We've only sold 3 significant players in the last 3 January windows. Potts, Macdonald and Bradshaw - i think Macdonald wasn't that much of a loss at the time and Bradshaw was already at Millwall on loan. Folk are still scarred from the Cryne January sales.
Going on stats alone I'd have to agree with this. The PPG of our opponents so far is 1.26. That's the lowest PPG in the division, suggesting we've had a relatively easier run of games. The PPG of our remaining opposition is 1.45. Only Wycombe have a higher number in the division (1.46). Our next 4 games have the opposition averaging 1.84 PPG which given the opponents is not surprising. That's on paper the toughest run of anyone in the division. I think we're more than capable of beating Cardiff and to get a result against Swansea at home. The other two, away, against Norwich and Watford will be much more difficult.
