There was a bit more to it than that, 'draught' Guinness in Britain was produced at Park Royal Brewery in London, due to lower volume sales Park Royal Guinness was pasteurised for a longer shelf life, which slightly alters the flavour...due to having bigger volumes St James's Gate Brewery, Dublin did not need to pasteurise. Park Royal shut about 20 years ago...as far as I'm aware all draught Guinness is now pasteurised.

Well I for one love a nice Guinness, it's my go to if there's nothing I like on offer in any drinking establishment.

You're drinking it in the wrong places then.

I had *the best ever* pint of my life in a boozer just by the needle. Small looking place but you opened the door into a rich mahogany palace that pulled a pint with a dome the lads building the Taj Mahal would've been proud of. I sat in silence on my own for 15 minutes just thinking it was f.cking bliss.

The best of it I've ever had was in Hughes' in Ballina. It might be the same stuff, but the vibe of supping it in a small gaff in rural Ireland just makes it taste 10x better.

I remember drinking guiness in Madrid (imported from Dublin) in the 1980s and it certainly tasted better than the stuff we got at home back then.

If Guinness was a person, it would be Piers Morgan.

If Guinness were a place, it would be Basingstoke.

If Guinness were a Barnsley shirt it would be this season's home kit.

Like drinking liquid lockdown. Absolutely vile piss of the most heinous kind.

Back in the 70s and 80s The Ship, The Elm Tree, and Barrow club in Worsbrough were all Tetleys pubs. They all got their beer delivered on the same day on the same truck and and all drinks tasted completely different in the same village. Now your trying to tell me it tastes exactly the same in a different country...I call ********
