We’ll have to disagree on that one. He may have unfairly put Denmark through.... and PS was a mile off his line when he saved it!
Justice indeed, and I wouldn't cross the road to watch that rubbish that Russia & Denmark have offered up today. In fact the Danes haven't impressed in any of their matches, they fluked a win against Peru and were appalling in the 0-0 against France. Croatia massively under performed tonight for whatever reason, but they are a better team and I would have been more peed off if they had gone out, as opposed to not giving a toss about Spain of course.
Currently in Croatia on my jollies. The atmos after the game tonight is / was fantastic. Never before seen a proper southern European no holds barred display of cars on parade with horns blaring and flags out of every window like tonight. Have to say I loved it. I was willing them to win almost as much as England because it would have killed the atmosphere here if they had lost. As is goes, no one in a town centre hotel is getting any sleep tonight.
It was - fairly genuine neutral for the match - missed the first 15 mins unfortunately but after that it was a pretty dull game - couldnt see either side scoring until croatia broke at the end. under current rules ref was correct to give a pen and a yellow but I do think football ought to take another leaf from Rugby and allow the awarding of a penalty goal in cases where a clear foul stops an almost certain goal. This was a case in point keeper left stranded open goal just about to pass it into the net and taken out from behind. Fortunately justice was done in the end in the penalty shootout but Denmark almost profited from foul play.
