In Dodworth we still speak of "Vivid Marshalls", even though there're no longer there. It just sort of "stuck"!
Jordan Williams hardly gets starts when fully fit. Mads we are missing but he will have to get used to playing out from the back which he struggled with before Val came along and changed tactics. Kitching has looked shaky so far. Benson outside of the pass to Sibbick hasn't looked like getting another assist or a goal so needs to improve. We are missing Morris who would be a starter. Oulare we've not seen play so surprised you think he would be starting games.
Hard to decide that when you’ve only got two natural central midfielders in the match day squad and they’ve got six first team league appearances between them. Ever. I think he’ll settle on Benson and Gomes but it’ll be up to Palmer to force his way in, Hondermarck to get up to speed rather than chucked in at the deep end, and then Halme/Moon to offer fresh legs and protection should we ever need it. Not in reply to you, but systems and styles are often played based on who is in the team. Yesterday only four, arguably five, regular starters from last season were in the Starting XI. We’ve got a makeshift CB trio, a makeshift CM duo, and naturally as a result looked to keep it tight - helped by Blackburn completely dropping off and putting men behind the ball. I’m sure Schopp looks at yesterday and knows that the movement just isn’t there and isn’t good enough, outside of Woodrow. But we looked solid enough and should have still won the game if we took our chances which were in a couple of cases more difficult to miss. I don’t understand how people can’t see how the team improves no end when our best players come back - it means we can take more risks because we’ve got more experienced players all over the pitch. If things don’t change at that point THEN some of the negative comments become valid.
