Dibbly dobblers at the end from Lyth and Bess. Almost too easy just to pad it away. Very disappointing end to a match that should have been in the bag, but that’s what happens when a night watchman is able to bat almost a full day. The season will peter out to nothing….again
I've just been trying to understand the table and format, positions etc. It's not simple is it? Way I see it: after the current round of 4 games, the div1 top side will be champions, and 1st and 2nd will play a 5 day game for a trophy. Is that correct? Yorkshire's game next week at Scarborough against Somerset will be a huge fixture and if the weather's good should be worth attending. If you don't mind splinters in your backside and backache.
You are correct I’ve got my head round it. The only thing I didn’t mention in the opening post. Was, that clubs do not play the ones from their original group. (Us. Lancashire). I still believe the team (regardless of how many overs were left ) Made a monumental mistake in not Declaring earlier. The game was out of Hampshire’s reach much earlier.
Maybe there's a hangover from 2 or 3 years ago when they lost after declaring more than once. Regarding points did they miss a batting point by 7?
Based on within 110 overs Batting 1= 200 + 2 =250 + 3 = 300 + 4 = 350 + Maximum 5 = 400+ Bowling 1 = 3-5 wkts 2 = 6-8 wkts 3= 9/10 wkts. So in answer to your question. Yes .
They don't make it easy for us punters to get involved do they. It's easier to get information on the Hadron collider!
