    He got a couple of hundreds in the early part of the season. There was speculation that he could get 1000 runs before the end of May.

    1st class/ county championship is the same thing (technically test matches are 1st class, but generally it refers to domestic cricket).
    His career 1st class ave is somewhere between 38 and 40.
    This season 40. Batting average of 40 generally regarded as good.

    Fair enough Helen. I wasn't aware of that average. I've based it on the last couple of months or so having watched that much white ball cricket, and being frustrated with his performances.

    Good stats. My perception was that he was poor in the T20 for Yorkshire and in The Hundred where he was dropped late on. I thought he would shine in The Hundred but he didnt. Maybe my view this season has been distorted by that

    Not lost a wicket all morning. TKK showing again that he can bat in the longer format. Some player we have with George Hill as well for a twenty year old. Captained England at youth level and got a 90 not out and a 64 in helping us to the later stages of the Royal London. Fun fact I just read that when Stokes won us the Ashes test in 2019 at Headingley it was George who was 12th man who brought Stokes his replacement bat.....

    not seen any play today but be nice to have minimum 10 overs today, can't see them getting anywhere near 300, but you never know i suppose,
