I just can't wait for this ill-conceived and ill-judged farce of a leadership challenge to end and then hopefully Corbyn will start to get the support he should have had for the last year.

I liked Owen Smith when he was in Corbyn's shadow cabinet and was prepared to listen to him. Particularly to understand if he gets that Labour can't win the next election and need a progressive alliance (he doesnt). But Corbyn has wiped the floor with him. And some of the misogyny that Smith has displayed has been startling.

That article seems more like a blast at the Labour Party, and particularly the attitudes towards women in mining communities such as ours, as much as anything else.

Hardly a blast at poor Owen. unless you want everyone in our country, and especially Barnsley, to be wonderfully politically correct in everything they ever say.

If you can detect his being a woman hater from what he's said, the problem in today's society does not lie with him.

(btw he is a lightweight politician . Not a leader)

And you will find that the article you have quoted as your corroboration was written by none other than a leading feminist (who you can look up as being hardly without an agenda (or "Vagenda")).

So to be honest, if that's what you quote as the gospel, god help you.

    Hear hear.
    You and me both mate.
Most that hate him is because they're Tories.others because of what they've read or heard second hand, some because it spoils their status quo.
The only people who should be fearing Jeremy Corbyn are greedy opportunists ,the undeserved billionaires and those that exploit the working classes .

Corbyn will never be a leader , I believe him to want the best for the country but while ever he is associated with the the new "third Reich" called Momentum he has not a cat in hell chance of being Prime Minister

we are talking about the bloke, excluding his support for the ira, declared in parliament it was his honour and pleasure to host his friends from Hamas in parliament.

Then there's the money he was paid to present a segment on an Iranian to channel that was banned by of com. Press Tv is the state media channel of that bastion of human rights and tolerance that is Iran. You'd have thought a man with staunch principles on the treatment of others would have avoided this like the plague...
Press TV It is also fond of broadcasting holocaust denial propaganda.

Which ties in nicely with the constant anti Semitic/Zionist links that will keep dogging Corbyn. The number of events he attended with a bloke called Paul Eisen a prominent holcaust denier amongst a number of others. Although I do not think Corbyn is an outright foaming at the mouth Jew hater he isn't helping matters by some of the company he keeps.

And this includes the new style Corbyn Labour Party or momentum however you style it. Some of these party members standpoints on the Jewish faith, Israel and Zionism is beyond healthy debate. The internet especially social media is rampant with these comments.

    But aye bloke talks well.

I'm not sure that warranted such a condescending response. That is one of hundreds of articles on the subject. And I personally do find the language he reaches for incredibly telling. I also think the article makes very valid points about the Labour party. Although I certainly don't think misogny is limited to former mining communities.

Interestingly by far the most impressive and effective modern day politicians are women. If only Caroline Lucas was in Labour.

Yeah - years ago - in an uncomfortable female's front room or student pad, or even if you've managed to somehow wheedle one back to yours....

....you hear her asking "do you have a vagenda?"

The answer is of course "you must be more pissed than me... what about a cup of tea?"

    It was not condescending.

I have no height to come down from.

You quoted that article rather than simply speaking yourself. Your choice.

And finally if you conclude that "by far the most impressive and effective modern day politicians are women", perhaps it might have been better to post under a more appropriate Original Post than "Corbyn is a leader".

Last time he was on TV he had a beard. Which even in these times identifies him as a man (till the circus comes to town ovo).

The brilliance of Caroline Lucas and effectiveness of Nicola Sturgeon doesn't preclude men being good leaders, and leadership takes many forms.

I'm sure you revere Margaret Thatcher.

Personally I'm not hung up on the sex of the beast in charge. I doubt that Owen is either tbh.

Corbyn is a neo-communist that does not believe in democracy

Example - Labour Party vote for Trident
As leader Corbyn stands up in parliament and opposes Trident

That in itself is all you need to know about Corbyn
