In other news, Mr. Adolph Hitler has advocated that all Jews and other non Aryan undesirables be eliminated from Europe. I'm also a member of the Labour Party. It's a fair cop, I suppose..
i wasnt equating racism to homosexuality at all, just stating that the professionally offended will always find something to be offended about. personally i wouldnt go watch the scouser as i dont find him funny (or micheal macintyre for that matter) but if other people did then fair play to them but why give them the publicity on this or anyother forum. how many posters had never heard of the guy but have had a look on you tube this morning
BBS unwritten rules 1.2.iv Quotes needs to be referenced according to Harvard University and included in the reference list, otherwise you're a racist.
Well you suggested that people kicking off about a drag act is analogous to people kicking off about a racist comedian. It's not. There's nothing fundamentally bad or wrong with drag acts, whereas there obviously is with racism and it's something the club shouldn't choose to associate themselves with.
Jeez ! Think the OP dropped a bol!ock then kept digging. More virtue signalling easily offended millennial crap like Victoria of inclusive london who appears identify as european rather than English although flower like it or not if thats where you were born thats what you are. It wasn't offensive to quote the comedian as an example of his brand of humor, folk need to chill out a bit.
Tempers always fray on here, close season... Especially when we don't have England to moan about.. As social enemas go, I think it's quite healthy. Let the unwashed masses fight amongst themselves, whilst the elite gently roger us from behind. Boll0cks to Brekshit, by the way.. See...? Healthy... Carry on, I'm here all night..
Playing the devil's advocate here... What about feminist groups that find fault in woman being ridiculed by men dressing up as woman and doing drag...the world's gone mad... Whoops apologies to flat earthers and the agriculture departments of this world...
I agree. The club can't on the one hand support the Kick Racism out of Football Campaign and on the other hand host a racist comedian at Oakwell. Who I wonder gave the go-ahead for the event to take place?
.....and a bit of sh!te stirring *********.......do us all a favour and **** right off............sithi.
Tried looking for some footage of this bloke's act but I'm not sure if he has one. Other than aggressively abusing his audience with playground insults. 'Cross-eyed c@#t' seems to be his favourite, whether said c@#t is cross-eyed or not. The point is not about whether we find him funny or not anyway, but whether the club wants to associate themselves with a man with a reputation for racism and bigotry. Free speech doesn't mean they're obliged to let him have a gig at Oakwell. It's a private premises and they should have refused his agent. Looking at his tour dates, he's targeting football grounds as he probably knows the knuckle draggers who lap his stuff up see the terrace environment as a safe haven for their brand of cave masculinity. Sad thing is, he's hit the nose and it often is.
Eh? That’s just , well weird.Surely if he points out what the guys like and it stops people going, that’s good!
I wasn’t planning on going anyway but if I was I’d rather find out now and try and get a refund before I had to sit in a room and listen to that *****. Especially as I’d probably get kicked out as I wouldn’t sit there quietly and let him spout racist crap at people.
