ps we clearly havent won enough this season but it's great when you capture the immediate post match celebrations. what strikes me about this group (despite what's said on here) is their togetherness and positivity in adversity and their apparent desire to perform for this manager. pps can you go the extra mile and translate Solbauer's motivational screaming at Schmidt after the final whistle?!
I asked him actually. I was going to subtitle it, but forgot. "Pipo! What do I say? Always believe until the end lad! If you are only in the game for one minute, it's enough for a goal!" Sole has made a huge difference. He's a warrior, a leader, a motivator and an absolute model professional off the pitch. The player I dreamed of having for the first four months of the season. Battle scarred. He's been in thousands of situations in over 300 games. You know the bloke in the film 300? I think it's Gerard Butler playing him... he reminds me of him. "This is Sparta!"
Tbh he scared me a bit with his shouting! Think Mads is replacing Chris Stern with his words to camera after a result!
But not in that first phase of 300 and the reference of the film whitey mentioned. Though yes ultimately, without selling any of their soldiers, the spartans helped Greece defeat the Persians. ;-)
And why its not a good analogy. Spartans couldn't be bought! ;-) And is the battle Saturday? or this season? or the tenure of the experimental incubators?
I've listened to it about 94 times, and I can't make it out, except for "Pipo, what do I say?" at the start. It's a difficult Austrian dialect. Thanks to @YTBFC for posting the translation!
