I'll not hold my breath on that one tbh. Depending on the FA to restrict fly by nights is not something I'm confident about.
Next week according to this http://www.skysports.com/football/n...-takeover-by-consortium-involving-billy-beane
**This post is made without any relevance or reference to Patrick's current health** We seem to be hung up on the fit and proper person test and fearful that any new owner will be a wrong 'un. The thing is, we do not know if Patrick would pass the test. I am not saying he wouldn't but let's face it his financial conduct has been questioned in Court. That is a fact. The charges were dropped. This is also a fact. How would that fit in with the fit and proper person test? Would it be relevant? **If you want to respond to this post please do not bring emotion into it or accuse me of disrespect. It is a reasonable question**
There are enough dodgy people to have passed the 'test' that currently own clubs - I don't think it's an issue.
Someone who didn't exist passed the test. Massimo Cellino passed the test. Thaksin Shinawatra passed (I think it was in existence back then.) We've got nowt to worry about.
Surely Patrick will already have passed these tests as the current owner but thats only my personnel thoughts
True, but what I mean is that certain posters have already made their mind up that any new potential owners will not be fit and proper - regardless of what that actually means.
Remember though, we're a #teamlikeBarnsley. If the FA are going to shaft any new owners, then sods law they will be ours...
I believe its called neophobia - the fear of something new. It appears to be quite prevalent among barnsley folk. Took me years to try broccoli
