    Also consider the Chinese language and how complex it is. There will be words and sounds that don't translate into our more basic language as readily, so phonetically, Jian Li and Chien Lee aren't that quantum a leap.

    Li Jian will be Chien Lee, as eluded to.

    Converting Chinese (whichever version) into westernised text isn’t an exact science. Very complex. Li Jian (or Jian Li) will likely be the nearest exact translation, Chien Lee being the version which is more phonetic so it is pronounced closer to correctly in western countries.

    I’d imagine it is anyway.
