    Oakland United Beerworks
Heinold's First and Last Chance Saloon
All of them are in Oakland around Jack London Square; in walking distance of each other. I'd only been to the first one before.
Heinold's is the oldest bar in Oakland. It has a sloping floor still, from the 1906 earthquake: https://www.heinoldsfirstandlastchance.com/
I did end up getting the ferry back to San Francisco and walking home.

I haven't been to, or heard of, any of those. I also didn't know there was a ferry back to San Francisco!

There's a ferry which departs Alameda, stops in at Oakland and then heads to the Ferry Building in San Francisco : https://sanfranciscobayferry.com/routes-and-schedules
A new ferry terminal has just opened in a different part of Alameda, where condos are starting to go up.
There are many breweries in both Oakland and Alameda which are worth checking out.
