Milwall had to break their transfer record for Bradshaw too. I'm sure if we announced we had done the same it would sell more passes. Fans who are a bit down that we buy young and sell on and see it as weakening the team, so don't want to watch us so often. They will see a two plus decades old record broken and see it as a statement of intent from the owners.
Spending loads of money on a player won't entice people to buy season tickets. You either want to spend every other Saturday watching football or you don't. Watching wins and good football is obviously more enjoyable and it is that that will count as regards season tickets.
How many more season passes do you think millwall sold when they announced Bradshaw? I hardly think they were queuing up. Like when we were in the championship last time we cant compete with the likes of wednesday villa ect who can pay back up players 20k a week that is why we buy young and give them a opputunity. I like the policy of buying young talent I think if we do go up we need to up it a notch like Brentford.
