Well, first things first. Deserved win for Ross County today. Worked really hard for each other and took advantage of what’s happening at Parkhead. I’ve been going up since 1989 and most of those years were pretty grim particularly having to watch Rangers equal the Lions/Quality Street Kids 9 in a row from the late sixties early seventies. It was a time when Rangers re-iterated their traditional dominance over Scottish football as the team of the establishment. (Although we now know they did it by cheating on a scale unmatched in Scottish football). I can remember the attempt to stop their 9 in Row with players like Van Hooijdonk, Di Canio and Cadette. It ultimately failed and everyone seemed to think they would walk to 10 in a row. Vim Jansen stopped it though the signing of Henrik Larson and one or two others was quite helpful. This year’s Ten in a Row is a big deal at Celtic. I feel for Lennon. He doesn’t deserve that garbage being thrown at him from so called supporters outside Celtic Park and he certainly doesn’t deserve to be let down by a group of players who seemed not to understand what their responsibilities are. I think he’s on his way out because the support at a Celtic cannot be ignored if the Club is to prosper. That puts them akin to Liverpool rather than Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City - Clubs that can safely ignore their support. Whether that will give Lennons successor time to sort things out, I don’t know, but I certainly hope so.
I Lennon is known for an hot head. Hes grown up alot now since becoming a manager. Hes not scared of saying what he feels or thinks. He wore a poppy at rememberence day and he always does despite controversial people around him in the North. He would keep us up i think
Pots of things. Rangers finally reaching their level. People blame management but some players want a bigger pay cheque but the board probably was afraid to cash in because of back lash from the fans. Lose lose situation. Now stuck with un interested players and overated players who never know what it's like to be on the back end of a spanking. I said this 2 3 years ago. It will turn ugly when they catch celtic up.
It's a fairy story, a new team has come from nowhere to probably win the league this year. You couldn't write it.
I must admit, after watching them shaking the fence, I had a little chuckle to myself at the “Oh ****! Now what?” moment that followed its demise.
What the chuff, they have lost a few matches, it happens. Do they think they have a right to win every match? Well done Ross County, myself I like Celtic my favorite Scots team but for chuff sake these morons have short memories.
Headline and photo from the Metro just been on TV "Celtic defeat sparks disorder" with fires burning in the background. Absolutely unbelievable. https://www.google.co.uk/search?sou...client=mobile-gws-wiz-hp#imgrc=AkKdY3FbvZhS4M
I’m actually surprised this police van survived with a reg like that. Probably all those rioting can’t read.
https://www.celticfc.com/news/2020/november/Celtic-Football-Club-Statement/ 11 SPL trophies in a row and 35 consecutive cup wins isn't good enough for some.
I suspect your subtlety may be lost on most of the Board Pete. But you're right. Should they win it, it's actually a much greater achievement than Gretna who were the last Club to come through the Leagues from their formation. Amazing really. I understand the engravers are just checking out the spelling of Sevco as we speak.
Well let’s hope that Sevco go the same way as Gretna did. Now that would be all my Christmas’s coming at once.
Shallow Ian. How dare you. If I were shallow, I'd hardly be following the 'Kings of the League' (you really had to see the 1970s badge!) that are BFC! It's all right for you 'Glory Hunters' pontificating from Tannadice.
maybe ex kings of the league now. I think that might be the first time Tannadice and glory hunters has been used on the same sentence.
