What happened after we sold Conor and what happened to Hull last season should send out a clear message about the folly of selling your best players in January - team is in a good position with key players signed on longer deals with the exception of Mowatt. We have the groundwork in place it would be nice to strengthen this January.
Feeling much better thanks Kev. Quite worn out and everything still tastes a bit weird, but in a different league to last week, which was pretty miserable. The turning point seemed to be between 3pm and 4.45pm on Saturday!
That's good to hear. I'll always appreciate the time & effort you took to help Laura with some work on History a good few years ago. Just to let the BBS know what a lovely bloke you are, if they didn't know already.
I have made some good friends on here over the years. It never ceases to amaze me just how friendly, compassionate, generous, intelligent posters on here are.
Thanks mate, your furry hat and 50 ruble note are in the post! Laura was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with. It's a pity she doesn't post on here any more as she was always extremely insightful and wise beyond her years. Has she lost interest in football completely?
Unusable wasn`t he used against Forest in the cup when Schmidt was on International duty and then Struber used him as some kind of parting shot to the board at Middlesboro.
She has, old friend, yes. Her interests now lay in science, wildlife, music (Taylor Swift, Little Mix, Florence & The Machine, Bastille), social justice for all. She continues to champion the underdog.
Exactly. I think we were 10th in January, when Hourihane, Winnall and Vaz Te were sold. It rapidly went downhill from there.
when we beat Rotherham on 28th Jan 2017, we were 7th. 1 point off the playoffs. Finish 14th that season https://www.11v11.com/league-tables/league-championship/28-january-2017/
Even more disappointing than I realised; didn't realised we'd reached 7th. Let's just hope lessons have been learned.
Is that a trick of the light; an unfortunate pleat in his shorts. or was he known as The Elephant Man?
