I'm very pleased to see the number be below 100 for the first time, that's a very good sign. I don't trust the number of infections at all, however, as they are refusing to say how many people are tested it is impossible to compare to earlier days. We know they double count tests, we know they cound tests that have been posted out but not necessarily completed (are these double counted too? I don't see why they wouldn't be) so the number of people tested could just be the same amount as the number of infected people for all we know.
I would like to see the hospital admissions data, as it had gone up 3 days in a row at the last release. The lack of a weekend briefing has meant we haven't been given a full data breakdown since Thursday's figures.
On further examination there have either been no care home deaths or more likely that they haven't been given the figures. NHS England reported 72 deaths and Public Health Wales the other 5 and both their announcements are always hospital deaths only.
