It’s crazy how many people watch us week in week out & cant see how important Brown playing as a striker was to us staying up

The more chances our forwards get then the more goals we will score, but the way Struber has us playing we have possession a lot but create little with the amount of possession we have. To create more chances would mean us playing more direct, getting the ball forward far quicker. and becoming less of a good defensive force. That defence is stronger now we have a more defensive midfield, players who get back and support the three/four.

Yeah I can't see us getting turned over by three or four anytime soon. However, I don't like that feeling at 16:50 on a Saturday when 5 minutes stoppage time is put up and we're only 1-0 up. Better than 1-0 down but just as stressful.

Made me laugh when I read that Reverend Preedy stopped attending because he couldn't stand the tension if we weren't winning comfotably as it wasn't good for his heart :D

Just basing it on what I saw last season, challenging for headers against opposing players chaplin and woodrow dont win many headers.

I don't remember many complete collapses from a winning position Wolves home from 2-0 up and hitting the post at 2-1 to losing 3-2 was pretty awful. Around 1999 IIRC. But the granddaddy of all capitulations, Ipswich in 1996, has probably scarred me for life by way of being unable to relax at a game until it's over.

I think you mean the 2004/5 season when we were 3.0 up, drew 3.3, around Xmas time - when Stockport were bottom and went down that season.

Remember both well, but the Ipswich one was especially spectacular as we were leading 3.0 with 5 minutes to go - drew 3.3! Still have nightmares about that one in particular

What is also remarkable is that we got promoted the season after these spectacular collapses!

It was november 2003. I remember it because Betsy was on a hattrick at 3-0 and could have squared it to Lumsdon for an easy tap in and went himself that lead to the Stockport County first goal that started their comeback.

We did indeed draw 3.3 with Stockport in 2003, but we were never 3.0 up. I've had to check up on that and the scores say we were 1.2 down at half time, leading 3.2, then drew 3.3.

I hope this image comes through ok below.

Cheers it's amazing what tricks the memory plays. I didn't realise we drew 3-3 with them two seasons running.

I remember being 4-1 up against Stockport and a Les Bradd Hat trick made it 4-4 final score but can’t remember year though .

Yeah, I know what you mean! I had to check up on it, because I thought you were on about the 3.3 from 2004! I knew we were 3.0 up in that one, because Stockport were rock bottom and went down that season.
